Engineering/Maintenance Associate
Hours may vary. 7-3 and 3-11 as well as holidays and weekends.
Experience in drywall repair and painting is a plus.
POSITION PURPOSE
Maintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical/electrical systems and equipment through the hotel (e.g. HVAC, plumbing)
Perform and document guest room and public areas using the Property Preservation procedures set forth by the Director of Engineering
Provide quarterly preventative maintenance summary to the Director of Engineering
Maintain guest room and public area electronic lock system to include troubleshooting, programming locks, reading locks, replacing locks, and printing lock reports
Maintain hotel laundry equipment
Assist with guest room mattress rotation quarterly
Service the hotel's pool and spa including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters
Complete maintenance logs
Maintain the building exterior (e.g. snow removal, lawn care, painting)
Maintain parking lot, including picking up trash and emptying trashcans
Assist with annual tool inventory, forward to Director of Engineering
Assist with conducting key audits and maintain accurate records of keys and who has them
Provide information to guests about hotel services, facilities, other amenities, and local attractions
Proactively listen for and respond to guest complaints to their ultimate satisfaction
Know and be able to train and explain emergency evacuation procedures of the hotel
