Harry’s at Hofheimer is seeking a highly motivated Event Banquet Manager / Floor Manager to oversee both event operations and front-of-house (FOH) service. This dual-role position is responsible for executing seamless events while also leading daily restaurant floor operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys managing teams, and is passionate about delivering top-tier service.

Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Banquet Management

  • Lead execution of all events, including setup, service, and breakdown
  • Manage event timelines and ensure all elements (catering, AV, décor) are in place
  • Provide on-site leadership during events, resolving issues as they arise
  • Ensure exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction throughout each event
  • Oversee post-event breakdown and restoration of the venue

Floor Management (FOH Operations)

  • Oversee daily FOH operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Manage service flow, table turns, and overall pace to maximize efficiency
  • Coordinate reservations and guest flow with host and kitchen teams
  • Maintain ambiance standards (music, lighting, cleanliness, etc.)
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards and SOPs

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise FOH and event staff
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and updates
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, and completion of responsibilities
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented, service-driven culture

Guest Experience & Hospitality

  • Engage with guests to ensure a memorable and welcoming experience
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
  • Uphold a strong guest-first philosophy across all service areas

Operations & Financial Oversight

  • Manage and monitor POS systems (Toast preferred)
  • Oversee cash handling, drawer distribution, and nightly reconciliation
  • Ensure accountability and protection of company assets
  • Support development and refinement of operational procedures

Venue Management & Inventory

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all FOH and event spaces
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to uphold presentation standards
  • Manage event-related inventory and supplies
  • Order and restock inventory as needed

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all safety and operational regulations
  • Maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
  • Implement and oversee emergency and risk management procedures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality or restaurant management
  • Experience in both event management and FOH operations preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
  • Familiarity with POS systems (Toast a plus)
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

The Historic Hofheimer Building is a three-level, 14,000 sq. ft. venue with an on-site restaurant, multiple event spaces, and a rooftop bar—designed for memorable celebrations and high-energy private events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
