Food and Beverage Manager
Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets at Mountain Lake Lodge. This position ensures exceptional guest service, operational excellence, and strong financial performance across restaurant, bar, banquet, and outdoor venues. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong presence on the floor and the ability to lead teams in a dynamic resort environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets
- Ensure service standards are consistently executed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization
- Monitor service flow and adjust operations as needed
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and develop team members
- Lead by example during peak periods
- Assist with scheduling
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching
Financial Performance
- Assist in managing budgets and forecasts
- Monitor food, beverage, and labor costs
- Oversee inventory and ordering
- Review financial reports and take action
Guest Experience
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menus and offerings
- Support events and programming
Standards & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Enforce alcohol service laws
- Follow company policies and SOPs
Qualifications
- 4+ years food & beverage experience
- Full-service resort experience required
- Strong leadership and financial skills
- Excellent communication skills
Work Environment & Requirements
- Must work weekends and holidays
- Standing/walking for extended periods
- Indoor and outdoor work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
